I have recently received a bunch of threats, disrespect, and, lastly, some angry comments in my recent posts were I used Ai; I understand your concerns. Is AI reducing art to mere prompts?
As an art director for over 8 years, I can tell you that AI enables us to explore endless possibilities.
It allows us to create in a matter of hours what would have taken weeks. Personally, I engage in various artistic mediums, such as sculpture, painting, 2D & 3D animation, post-production, and all aspects of 3D art. I felt triggered when I saw the first Midjourney images and started to feel threatened, but with time I discovered a new reality that is happening right now; the truth is, every job is on the verge of complete transformation.
By embracing and leveraging these tools to our advantage, we can evolve both as artists and individuals. It's not about replacing our creativity but rather using AI to enhance our artistic journey.
However, I acknowledge that the misuse of AI and its potential to disrupt industries built upon lifelong learning, passion, and love for creation is indeed worrisome. Don't let anger overshadow the potential for growth and innovation. Instead, embrace the change and embrace the opportunities AI brings. It's a chance to push the boundaries of what we can achieve as artists.
So let's explore, create, and evolve together with technology.
You can use everything to create art, from, trash, fancy tools, traditional and digital mediums, nothing is written, and you shall not feel threatened by anything; let your potential grow with your preferred tool, and PLEASE, enjoy the journey.
